Meghwal Setu is developed and operated by the digital app team for Akhand Meghwal Samaj Seva Sansthan, Vav (“we”, “our”, “us”). We provide a comprehensive digital community platform including news, business listings, exams/mock tests, digital library resources, blood donor directories, Bandhan matrimonial profiles, social achievements, and community announcements.

2. Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to:

• Meghwal Setu Android & iOS mobile applications
• Meghwal Setu Web application and landing sites
• Backend services, Firebase databases, and Cloud Storage used by the application
• Local offline storage and synchronization mechanisms on user devices

By creating an account or using the app, you acknowledge and agree to the data practices described in this policy.

3. What Data We Collect & Device Permissions

3.1 Account & Identity Data

• Name, email address, and profile photo (obtained via Google Sign-In)
• Firebase Unique User Identifier (UID)
• Mobile number (when phone verification / OTP is used)
• Account role and verification status flags (e.g., isVerified)

3.2 User-Generated Content & Multi-Media Attachments

• Multiple photo/image uploads across app modules (News, Business Directory, User Profiles, Matrimonial Bandhan, Digital Library, Blood Donation, Achievement Wall)
• PDF documents and educational books submitted to the Digital Library
• Business details, job openings, and event announcements
• Reports, feedback submissions, and support requests

3.3 Device Permissions Requested

• Camera Permission (CAMERA): Required when taking photos directly for profile pictures, post attachments, or document uploads.
• Photo Library / Gallery Permission (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES): Required to select and attach multiple images from your device gallery for news, business, or profile uploads.
• Storage / Downloads Access: Required to save and view digital library books (PDFs) or cached images locally on your device.

3.4 Exam & Educational Analytics

• Mock test attempt logs, selected options, duration per question, score, accuracy rate, and leaderboard rankings.

3.5 Technical & Diagnostic Data

• Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token for push notifications
• Firebase App Check safety tokens to prevent API abuse
• Device operating system version, app build version, and error crash logs

3.6 What We Do NOT Collect

• We do NOT sell user data to advertising or marketing networks.
• We do NOT collect financial, credit card, or payment instrument data.
• We do NOT track background GPS location or record background microphone audio.

4. How We Use Data

We process collected information strictly to:

• Authenticate users and maintain secure role-based access.
• Render community feed items, multi-image posts, business listings, and digital library documents.
• Facilitate private, consent-driven matrimonial connections in the Bandhan module.
• Display voluntary emergency blood donor information.
• Process mock test results and generate leaderboard rankings.
• Send important community alerts, news notifications, and system updates.
• Maintain local cache synchronization for fast, offline-capable performance.
• Moderate content, prevent spam/fake accounts, and enforce platform safety rules.

5. Bandhan (Matrimonial) Privacy Protection

• Restricted Fields: Personal contact numbers are stored in encrypted private subcollections.
• Explicit Mutual Consent: Private contact numbers are disclosed ONLY when an interest request is explicitly accepted by both parties or authorized by profile owners/guardians.
• No Public Web Indexing: Matrimonial profiles are strictly restricted from search engine web crawlers.
• Anti-Extraction Safeguards: Screenshot and screen recording safeguards are implemented on sensitive profile screens.

6. Blood Donation & Health Directory Privacy

Participation in the Blood Donor directory is entirely voluntary. Donors choose what information to display (blood group, city/district, contact number). Donors can toggle their availability status or remove their donor profile at any time in the app.

7. Local Storage & Offline Synchronization

To ensure smooth performance in low-network areas, Meghwal Setu uses high-performance local database caching (Isar database and SharedPreferences). Feed data, user preferences, and pending sync actions are stored locally on your device and automatically synced with Cloud Firestore when connected to the internet.

8. Security Measures We Implement

We protect user data using multi-layered security controls:

• Firebase Security Rules: Strict database rules ensuring users can only edit or write data belonging to their verified identity.
• Transport Encryption: All server traffic is encrypted via standard HTTPS/SSL protocols.
• Firebase App Check: Attests device and app integrity to block automated bots and unauthorized API access.
• Cloud Functions: Privileged operations are processed through secure backend server code.

9. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do NOT sell, rent, or trade personal data. Data is shared exclusively with core infrastructure providers required to operate the app (Google Firebase) or when strictly required by law enforcement under valid legal process.

10. Data Retention & Deletion (24-Hour Commitment)

How to Request Account & Data Deletion:

• In-App: Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account and confirm deletion.
• Web Portal: Visit our dedicated deletion page at https://www.meghwalsetu.in/delete-account.html.
• Email Request: Send an email to meghwalsetu.app@gmail.com with subject "Account Deletion Request".

11. Your Rights & Controls

You have the right to:

• Access and edit your personal profile information.
• Manage notification settings and device permissions.
• Toggle your blood donor availability or hide matrimonial listings.
• Request complete account and data deletion at any time.

12. Children’s Privacy

Meghwal Setu does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental/guardian supervision. If you believe a minor's information has been submitted without consent, contact us immediately for deletion.

13. International Processing

App data is hosted on Google Cloud / Firebase infrastructure in secure data centers. By using the app, you consent to standard global cloud processing under Google's enterprise security standards.

14. Third-Party Services

We utilize trusted infrastructure services including:

• Cloud Firestore (Database)
