Meghwal Setu is operated by an independent app team (“we”, “our”, “us”). We provide community-focused digital features such as exams, jobs, business listings, events, Bandhan profiles, notifications, and social information modules.
2. Scope of This Policy

- Data processed through Firebase backend services used by the app
- Data submitted by users within app modules

- Business, event, news, job, schemes, and other listing entries
- Bandhan profile data submitted by users/guardians
- Reports and complaints submitted for moderation
- Feedback messages and support requests

- Test attempts, selected answers, time taken, score, accuracy
- User test summaries and leaderboard data
- RSVP and event attendance records
3.4 App Preference & Technical Data
- Language preferences
- Notification settings and FCM token

3.5 Data We Do Not Intentionally Collect
- We do not sell personal data.
- We do not collect unnecessary sensitive personal information outside app feature requirements.

5. Bandhan Privacy Protection (Special Handling)
We have implemented enhanced privacy controls for Bandhan profiles:
- Sensitive contact information is stored in a private subcollection.
- Public profile view does not expose private contact fields by default.
- Contact details are shown only when:
- request is approved, or
- viewer is profile owner, or
- viewer is authorized moderator/admin.
6. Security Measures We Implement
We use layered controls to secure user data:
- Firebase Authentication (Google login / phone verification where enabled)
- Firestore security rules and role-based authorization
- Firebase App Check to reduce unauthorized API access
- Encrypted local cache key management via secure storage
- Sensitive-screen protection (anti screenshot/recording in protected flows)
- Cloud Functions for privileged backend operations
- Moderation, report workflows, and admin audit logging
No method is 100% secure, but we continuously improve safeguards based on risk and platform best practices.
7. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell personal information.
Data may be shared only when required for app operation, including:
- Cloud infrastructure/service providers (e.g., Firebase services)
- Authorized moderators/admins for abuse handling and policy enforcement
- Legal authorities when required by law, court order, or legal process
8. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain data only as long as needed for feature delivery, account management, security, moderation, and legal compliance.
If a user requests account deletion (via in-app delete feature or support request), we start deletion workflow and process user-linked app data removal within 24 hours, subject to technical dependencies and legal requirements.
Some residual logs or legally required records may be retained for a limited period where required by law/security.
